The 1st couple weeks of June can be some of the best multi species fishing. Bass are in the shallows finishing up their spawn and walleye are still shallow feeding on the shiners. We have been doing great on guide trips catching a mixture of both walleye and bass in 10-15 feet of water. As we get into mid June the walleyes will start to transition from the shallows out to the gravel bars and mud flats and our tactics will change to more lindy rigging and pulling spinners.

We did have a small bug hatch of midges but we are still waiting on those bigger bug hatches that will drive the walleyes out in full force to the mud flats and deeper gravel bars.
