June is in the books. I would say that this years June bite was one of the slowest that I can ever remember. Giant 2020 hatch of perch that are now 3-4 inches long has our walleyes fat and happy. Good for them not so good for the fisherman as the walleyes are so full it’s tougher to get them to bite. Hopefully that will improve as the eat down some of those perch
The July DNR regulations for July 1st -15th are no walleye fishing and no live bait allowed. So I am doing bass trips only for the next couple weeks. Bass fishing has been crazy good some days and a bit slower on other days.
