Well the saga continues. The DNR announced on Thursday that Walleye fishing will be closed until Aug. 11th instead of the original timetable which was suppose to just be from July 7th - July 27th. This is another big financial blow to the economy in this area. Despite all of the negative press fishing has been incredible during this walleye closure. Big Bass, Big Pike, Big Muskie and of course accidental big walleyes are being caught every where by folks trying to catch other species. The quality of fish in this lake of all the different species is just mind blowing. Here are a few pics of some of the other species other than walleyes that we have been targeting in the last couple of weeks.
