The Mille lacs walleye and bass seasons have kicked off to a great start. It has been 2 weeks of amazing fishing. People are catching fish all over the lake. Most fish have been caught shallow in that 5-15 foot depth range. Water Temps are hitting the 60 degree mark and fish are starting to move out into some deeper water. Most guide trips this year we have been averaging around 30-50 fish for 2 people in about 6 hours of fishing and it usually picks up in June! Fishing tactics have been to use jigs and shiners in shallow and lindy rigs and leeches a little deeper. The bobber bite at night on the rocks right now is also insane from 8:00 - 10pm it’s non stop action.
