The use of live bait and fishing for walleyes opened back up on August 1st. leeches are in short supply this time of year so most live bait Used has been crawlers they have been best used under a bobber on the shallow rocks for a mixture of bass and walleye. My boat the last couple weeks has focused more on the deep trolling bite in that 29-33 foot depth. This bite has been picking up and should only improve as we get closer to September and water temps that are coming back down. Although the action is not as fast and furious as it is in June this is still a fun time to get out and hook into some fish
