Opening Fishing Reports

Fishing over the opener was about the best I have ever seen. Weather was beautiful Saturday temps were in the 70 degree range and the fish were snapping. First fish of the day was a 27 and 1/2 inch walleye. The evening bite was nothing short of sensational as my guide client Nick can attest too. We spent most of the day dragging and casting jigs and shiners along the sand and rock to sand transition areas. The new Lindy Live bait Jig in green was the go to bait of choice. the last hour or so we got out the thill splashbrite bobbers and had a blast watching the glowing red bobbers slowly sink under the surface. The numbers of fish we caught was incredible!
